Breaking Free Group has formed a partnership with GTL, a leader in transformative corrections technology that services 29 state Departments of Corrections and over 2,500 correctional facilities across the United States.
Inmates in prisons and jails will now be able to access Breaking Free’s evidence-based digital behavioral support programs for Substance Use Disorders and smoking cessation via GTL’s class-leading education services platform and Inspire secure tablets.
Breaking Free’s digital interventions, which harness Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and the latest advances in behavioral science, have been shown by extensive peer-reviewed research to be effective, including at addressing opioid dependence within secure environments.
This partnership with GTL will enable correctional services to respond to the opioid crisis and high prevalence of SUDs among incarcerated inmates with a scalable and clinically effective solution; strengthen the rehabilitative support they provide; and address a major driver of recidivism as inmates can continue accessing support upon re-entry.
